Swipe Queen Baby! Technology Integration of Writing-Expository

f you are looking at ways integrate technology in the classroom with expository writing, look no further.  I have been working on the revision of this video for about 3 hours now.  It's addicting and revision is a labor of love.  It takes time to get it just right.  It takes time to think and play around with the video, music, words-text. I originally made this video 5 minutes long but the song that I wanted to use was only 2:29. I had to figure out how to cut some time in the text boxes, combine and delete some things in order to make that happen.  When the song ends too soon then it takes away from the effect of the video.  I wanted to make my cat into this unforgiving tough character. It's not far from the truth.  When she has her mind made up it is hard to deter her from her goal.  In my house, she has only one goal. To drive me crazy.  How does that happen with such a cute and innocent cat?  Well, anything that is on the edge of a table, book case, dresser or counter has to go.  She can't and won't leave them alone.  If they are in the middle of a table, for example, they are safe from the cat's claws and paws.  She won't notice them.  But no, if they are about 2 inches or less from the edge of a coffee table, then she's has no mercy.  They go tumbling down.  I was fortunate to catch her on tape that night we recorded the video. I had to determine which parts to cut out and place in the Stupeflix video.  The original video of just her swiping was 8 minutes long. My daughter placed objects in her path, just to see what she would do. We learned pretty quickly that her affinity to swiping is akin to LeBron James' dunking.  It happens excessively.
For example, last night. I brought home a nice cup of tea from McDonald's  I wasn't finished with it so I put it on my dining room table, as I came into the house. Of course I wasn't thinking at all. In fact, I forgot about it because I was in zombie tired like state. Normally,  I know better than to leave things on the table, especially close to edge.  I constantly get on my daughter for doing this because of the all the messes we have to clean up because the sweet and innocent Sandy.  She's not so sweet and innocent when I have to clean up her messes. Anyway, last night I was a random victim of Sandy's violence because she knocked down  my precious tea.  "Oh no!" I thought to myself, as I heard the crash of the tea spilling all over the tile. "Why didn't I think?" I said to myself.  It was too little, too late.  The dirty deed was done.  So sorry, so sad indeed!

Now I want to share with you my revised version.  I hope you like it and maybe share it with your class.  I made it with students and adults in mind. I hope you get a chuckle.  Happy viewing!
