Training of Reading Specialist (TORS) by Abydos-Pics and Reflections
Today's day two Training of Reading Specialist by Abydos and Dr. Joyce Carroll was nothing short of spectacular. Every time I attend a session I leave renewed, rejuvenated and ready to read, research and try out so many of the strategies that we experience together. I am so thankful to be receiving this training. I work with great educators from other districts in the area, as well as from my district. Dr. Joyce is so knowledgeable. She builds on our knowledge and experiences. The day is fully packed with tons to learn and apply. We started the day synthesizing Rosenblatt's Transactional Theory. Dr. Joyce had us make a Moebuis (I am not sure I spelled it correctly) to help explain how we understand Rosenblatt. Wow! That was pure genius! I will post more because it's late and I want to get some rest for tomorrow. I also interviewed two great women educators. That was also fun. Because I am having such a great time with the interviews, I think I will conduct a lot more, tons more. It's fun with Window's Movie Maker.
